His lifestyle.  His rules.
Is she willing to risk her heart to play his game?
Guitarist Cole Hayes learned early that falling in love is the easiest way to lose.  Determined never to go down that road, he sealed his heart off, numbing himself with erotic and sensual pleasures--with men and women alike. The rules were simple:  group sex only and never one-on-one.
It’s all so simple until he meets Devon Bannister, the beautiful director shooting the documentary on his band.  Suddenly, she's all he can think about. Neither can deny the attraction and desire between them.
Although Devon is open to exploring Cole's lifestyle, for the first time in his life, he finds himself reluctant to share.
How can he own all of her, if he's only willing to give half of himself?

Between Us - Teaser 3.jpg

He’s dead still for a second, but then he wraps his arms around me and pulls me in close. He’s right between my legs, and I shiver when I feel the cotton of his T-shirt against my inner thighs. I gasp as the implication of why I can feel him hits me.

“Oh my God,” I sputter as I pull back. “Holy shit!”

Cole quickly pulls back and looks up at me with concern.

“What’s wrong?”

When I went to dry the monitor, the thing I grabbed to do it was the hem of my white cotton dress—the hem of which had rested about an inch above my knee. I’m now sitting here with it bunched up around my thighs. I try not to look down, but can’t help it. As quick as I bring my eyes back to his, it’s too late. His gaze follows the path mine just did, and he lets out a choked noise when he realizes the state I’m in.

“Jesus, Devon,” he growls. “Fuck.”

Lifting his head, he meets my eyes. My breath stops, lodging somewhere in my chest when I see the look of hunger in his eyes. The breath rushes out of me in a whoosh when he leans back and runs his hands up the inside of my thighs.

“You’re so soft,” he murmurs. “So beautiful.”

I expel the breath I’ve been holding in a rush. Seemingly of their own volition, my legs spread wider, allowing him to come in closer.

Losing someone you love at a young age is heartbreaking. Experiencing also the loss of a mother figure is devastating. Watching the implosion of a husband after losing his wife, a couple who have been in this child's life from the beginning of his memory, will leave a lasting effect. In this case, the resolution to never fall in love so deeply you will feel you cannot go on if you lose that someone.
This is Cole's story. He is known for his "hit it and quit it" attitude, as well as his bisexuality. Menage is his only way to intimacy, and for the matter, an intimacy that only lasts however long it takes to perform the act to his satisfaction. He never allows himself to have a one-on-one relationship or encounter. This is how he safeguards his heart. Until he meets Devon.

Devon is a breath of fresh air. Mature beyond her years, she is the stable heartbeat of this improbable romance. This is their journey to find love, trust, and forever. Not easy when you are surrounded by the rock 'n roll life.

I enjoyed reading this story. I also wished the author would have gone more in depth into the emotional relationship and less of the sexual drive. All in all, this is an erotic dream for anyone looking for a good break.

Ain't She Sweet Release Party

Welcome to an exclusive interview with Author Marie Force, for the launch of Ain’t She Sweet, Book 6 in the Green Mountain Series. Since All You Need Is Love was released in 2014, the Green Mountain Series has stolen the hearts of readers, and Fred the Moose has earned himself a cult following. First we’ll start off with a fun one, who is Fred the moose, and who are his loyal followers? Marie: Green Mountain readers met Fred in chapter one of book one, All You Need Is Love, when city girl Cameron Murphy ran her brand new Mini Cooper into Fred on a dark mountain road. When Will Abbott came upon the scene, he was far more concerned about the health of the town moose than he was about the city girl’s brand new car with the crushed front end. It was the start of a beautiful romance between Will and Cameron—and Cameron and Fred, who shows up with enough regularity that Will’s dad surmises Fred has a crush on Cameron. Much hilarity ensues any time Fred pops in for a visit, which is why the readers eagerly look forward to his appearances in each of the Green Mountain books. The Green Mountain Series features the Abbott, Stillman, and Coleman families. Where are Charley and Tyler in the Green Mountain family tree? Marie: Charley falls square in the middle of the Abbott family at number five out of ten siblings. She’s a self-proclaimed pain the rear, and you won’t hear her siblings deny that she’s one prickly, pushy, pain the butt. But they love her anyway, and so does Tyler, who’s been trying to get her to go out with him for ages. He doesn’t stand a chance with her until she falls off a mountain, and he sees his opportunity to come to her rescue—in more ways than one! This book follows the story of Charley and Tyler, can we expect everything to go smoothly for them, or will they hit a few road bumps along the way? Marie: This is a romance novel! The course of true love never runs smooth, and Charley and Tyler are in for a wild ride before they find their happily ever after. Their story has all the things readers have come to expect from this series—meddling family members, sibling bickering, hot, steamy love scenes and a visit from Fred the moose! Ain’t She Sweet is set in picturesque Vermont, how do you use this landscape to pull out the stories of your characters? Marie: The mountain tapestry offers up a lot of opportunities for story, such as when Cameron arrives in the midst of mud season (and yes, mud has a season in Vermont), or when Charley falls off the side of a mountain during a snowy run. The characters love to ski and snow-mobile, among other activities that require toasty fires in the wood stove and down comforters to keep them warm. ;-) Time for another fun one! What are Charley and Tyler’s favorite food, color, car and sport? Marie: They prefer cars with four-wheel drive, such as Tyler’s Range Rover, to get them around in the mountains during the winter. They both love to run, as you’ll see in the opening chapters of Ain’t She Sweet. As for the rest, well, you’ll have to read the book and decide for yourselves! Thanks for joining us today, and for giving us the opportunity to learn a little more about your latest book!

About the Book

Charlotte “Charley” Abbott has gone out with every guy under thirty-five in Butler, Vermont—except for one. Tyler Westcott’s attempts to date her may be determined, and frequent, but Charley can’t stand how he acts like he knows her better than she knows herself. So when Tyler turns up at the running club Charley joined to train for a marathon, she’s almost ready to quit before she even gets started. Tyler knows that behind Charley’s prickly personality and dismissive attitude is a sweet woman he wants in his life. And when Charley suffers an injury while training, Tyler is ready to prove that the perfect man for her has been right there all along…

Dark Attraction- Series: Corde Noire Society Novel by Alexandrea Weis

Title: Dark Attraction
Series: Corde Noire Society Novel
Author: Alexandrea Weis
Genre: Dark Romance
Release Date: May 16, 2016

Sam Woods has a secret.
She keeps it hidden from the world … the world of the living, that is.
When Doug Morgan moves into her apartment building, Sam is intrigued by her sexy new neighbor. She struggles to keep her ghostly ability from him, but Doug isn’t interested in her spiritual sense. He’s after something much more … sensual.
A Dominant with dark tastes, Doug offers Sam a glimpse into his world. He invites her to take part in an experiment to explore the extremes of pleasure. Seduced by his lifestyle, Sam agrees. There’s just one little catch … Doug also has a secret.
Someone Sam never saw coming.
Sometimes, the dark side of pleasure can turn deadly.

Sebastian hated this part; walking into the ICU from the waiting room. The beeps, bells, and whirring of the machinery, which kept the occupants of the ICU alive, upset him. They were alien noises that grated against his nerves.
He did his best to not let the sounds get to him, but as he went to his mother’s room, he felt his skin prickle with that well-ingrained fear of hospitals. The result of a precocious childhood.
When he reached his mother’s doorway, he spotted the pretty nurse, the one who insisted on being called Sam and not Samantha. His eyes drifted from the nurse to his mother in the bed. Her color was better, but she was still hooked up to the ventilator. Shit!
Falling at her home, she had hit her head and been knocked unconscious. The surgery to relieve the bleeding in her skull had been successful—or so the doctor insisted—but she was still not awake.
“She’s doing better today, Mr. Reinhardt,” the attractive brunette nurse with the long ponytail said to him.
How many times had he told her that his last name was Dane, not Reinhardt? Still, she called him by his stepfather’s name. His palms itched to correct her, but he refrained.
“Has she woken up at all?”
“Yes, she opens her eyes now and then, which is a very good sign. We should have her off that breathing tube in a day or two.”
He followed the nurse’s perfect profile. Sebastian thought her almost doll-like. Even down to her porcelain skin and petite, almost little girl figure, everything about her reminded him of a doll.
“Thank you, Sam. You’ve been so encouraging these past few days. I thought for a while she wouldn’t make it.”
“I told you she would make it.” Sam stretched her pouty lips into an attractive smile. “I have a sense about these things.” As if hearing something in the outer hallway, she raised her uncanny eyes to the door. “I’ll be back.”
She was gone before he could ask any more questions. Sam always did that.
It was as if she looked through him, and not at him, whenever he came to visit his mother. What he wouldn’t give to have her see him, to have the little nurse with those amazing eyes see him for what he really was. Ah, but that was for another time and place.
He walked closer to the bed and held his mother’s hand. Still warm and soft the way he remembered it as a child. With the ugly purple bruise on the right side of her face and the thick white bandage on her head, she didn’t resemble the mother he had known. Gone were her fancy rings, diamond bracelets, and designer clothes. The blue hospital gown made her look paler than usual, and without her always fastidiously applied makeup, she appeared older, much older than her sixty-five years.
“I’m here, Mother. You’re doing better. Much better.”
He felt the slightest pressure on his hand, as if she had heard him.
“That’s it, squeeze my hand. Let me know you can hear me.”
This time, her grasp was stronger and more deliberate.

His heart soared with relief. It was a small step, but it was progress.

“Looks like she’s coming out of it,” Sam surmised, entering the room. She pulled a penlight from her white jacket pocket and flashed the light in his mother’s eyes.

His mother frowned.

“Did you see that?” he demanded. “She frowned when you shined the light in her eyes.”

Sam shrugged her shoulders, not seeming very impressed. “Like I said, Mr. Reinhardt, she’s waking up.”

Her dismissive tone made that certain itch come alive in Sebastian. The one he always got when he discovered a new … project.

Sam went back to her table outside the room door and made some notes on his mother’s chart.

Giving his mother a kiss on the cheek, Sebastian whispered, “I’ll be back tomorrow.” Exiting the room, he stopped by Sam’s table. “Thank you for taking such good care of her.”

Sam never looked up from her notes. “I’m glad she’s doing better.”

“Will you be here tomorrow?”

Sam shook her head and became distracted by a patient in the room next door to his mother’s. “I’m off for a few days, Mr. Reinhardt. I’m sure your mother will be gone by the time I get back.”

He never got to ask her anything else. She ducked into the other patient’s room and went to the monitor above the bed.

Sebastian grinned. He would see the pretty little Sam Woods again. He wasn’t going to let this one get away.
